My Stud is SEVEN Months

Gauge is mobile!  

He started crawling about 3 weeks ago.  All the sudden, he just took off!  That same day, he started standing in his crib and about two days later he started getting into things and making horrible messes, everywhere.  He can open drawers, and take everything out in the 10 seconds I turn my back.  He opens cabinets, eats small toys, food, flies, or other random objects on the floor, stands up on furniture and falls and hits his head on the tile, he takes his sisters toys, and can destroy three magazines in the time it takes me to get from the kitchen to the magazine basket (which has now been relocated to the closet).  He grew one tooth on the bottom right side, great for biting my poor nursing parts :( Did I mention he won’t sit still for a photograph? No? Well, he won't.  

 

My favorite mishap of the crawling days was when lexi decided to play with her pony beads at the table “so Gaugey boy couldn’t reach them.”  Well, he found a way.  She had also left her pouch of apple sauce open on the table near her bead operation.  Gauge crawled over, grabbed the table cloth and yanked it off.  Beads flew, tears fell, and applesauce got sprayed.  As soon as the beads hit the floor Gauge rolled over onto the apple sauce which proceeded to spray all over the freshly-mopped floor (always something, I can’t keep the dang floor clean!) and clean walls.  Gauge taught us all a valuable lesson that day.  Nothing is out of his reach.  Period.

Hard to believe this sweet, relaxed little guy is capable of being such a terror, but believe me, he is.

Those big blue eyes get me every time.  He is not much of a cuddle bug, so yesterday when he wanted me to hold him and rock him, I did.  It was the best spend hour of my time all day long.

He is always making us smile and laugh.  His sweet face lights up a room and brightens each of my days.  He truly is one of a kind.

He looks pretty skinny, but don't let that fool you.  The man can eat!  He eats two to three containers of baby food three times a day, plus nurses 4 times a day.  I am grateful he is back to sleeping all night.  Thank goodness!!

I thank Heavenly Father for my sweet sweet baby boy :)
